I have a BSc in Civil Engineering and I am employed by the Environment Agency as a Project Manager and work across the catchment areas: Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire. I lead a number of design and installation projects to deliver the best outcomes to reduce flooding in those areas and have achieved great success in many of my projects. I also lead in River Restoration projects which are paramount in ensuring Water Framework Directive (WFD) compliance which is a statutory legal requirement. I enjoy my job and I’m very passionate about the environment and this work allows me the flexibility to contribute to the Governor role to ensure that every child gets the best possible education, it is an interesting role and can be very challenging at times!

Mrs Bridget Stabbins - Governor - 001560371341(1)

I have been a Foundation Governor at Our Lady’s since December 2016 and enjoy being able to contribute to the running of our school and being part of the wider school and parish community.  I have two daughters, one of whom is now at Cardinal Newman High School, the other still at Our Lady’s, so I have been  actively involved with the school for the last nine years, helping on trips, at school plays, and PTA events.  I work for Warrington Borough Council in early years so have a particular interest in the care and education of our youngest children and how this can influence their learning and development throughout life.

Mr David Littlewood - Foundation Governor

Mr David Littlewood - Foundation Governor

I was appointed to the governing body in the Autumn Term 2018 as a foundation governor.

I am an experienced governor, being chair of another governing body and previously having been chair at the other school within the parish.

I have spent my entire career in primary education, having been a headteacher, LA officer, university lecturer and OFSTED inspector. I still advise some governing bodies on headteacher appraisal.

Mr Kevin Walsh - Parent Governor

My name is Kevin Walsh, husband of one, father of two, professional actor and driver of Trucks. I have been a parent Governor at Our Lady’s for 4 years.  Born and raised in Latchford and still living in the local area, the family values and catholic ethos that Our Lady’s holds dear, are what first attracted my wife and I to the school, which our two children now attend.  I was delighted to become a parent Governor for the school priding myself in being able to influence those family values, and most importantly the Catholic ethos both in the school; and our children’s lives, to make sure they get the best education, one that they and every other child at Our Lady’s deserve.

Miss Johanna Maddox - Staff Governor

Miss Johanna Maddox - Teacher - 001642071200(1)

Hello, I’m Miss Maddox! I have recently just moved to St Helens after spending a lot of time moving around whilst studying, I am definitely enjoying exploring the area and finding new places to shop! When I’m not at school, I like to keep busy either playing football or exploring the outdoors. I love travelling and exploring places that I have never been before, so this means I get to try out lots of different hotels! The Lake District is one of my favourite places so whenever I can I take the time to go exploring the lakes and mountains. I am also a big fan of cooking (also eating the food!) and took part in competitions when I was younger. More recently, I have tried to encourage my mum to take up cooking but that isn’t going as well!

I am Mrs Emerton and I am the Headteacher at Our Lady's Catholic Primary School. I live with my husband, my two daughters and our small dog.  I am passionate that children are entitled to an exciting curriculum and that learning should be fun and engaging for all. I want to help all children gain the confidence they need to be successful learners whilst they are at Our Lady's and to continue with this throughout their journey in life. Everyone at our school is special and talented, and as a team we continoulsy strive to further nurture and develop these attributes so that our children have a firm foundation in Faith, in the joy of learning, and a stronger belief in themselves.

David Shepperd- LA Governor

I am a Chartered Electrical Engineer working in the Nuclear Industry in Warrington. Part of my role involves managing a small team of Engineers, identifying training requirements, providing advice and guidance. I am also responsible for assuring designs being developed by a number of supply chain Contractors. As a former apprentice myself, I believe that it is important to support and develop young people in the workplace and have mentored and worked with apprentices over a number of years.

As a STEM Ambassador I have undertaken project work in school, mentored pupils, and interviewed pupils about to leave secondary education. These were all challenging yet rewarding experiences.

I became an LA Governor in July 2019.  My role involves working with the Governing Body to support our Head teacher and teaching staff to enable the delivery of good quality education. As a Governor I hope to make a lasting contribution to the development of Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School and its impact upon the lives and education of the children within the school.

We all have areas of specialist interest and professional skills which are focused through our involvement with sub committees and link governor roles, mine being Finance Governor. This role will give me greater insight into the challenges faced on a day to day basis and at a strategic level within the school, giving me the opportunity to work with various team members so utilising my knowledge, skills and experience.

My wife and I have two children who were both educated in a local Catholic Primary School and who then attended Cardinal Newman Catholic High School.
