At Our Lady’s, the health and safety of all children is of paramount importance. Parents send their children to school each day with the expectation that school provides a secure environment in which their children can flourish. Our Lady’s therefore has to ensure that this expectation becomes a reality. In order to do this a wide range of measures are put in place.  Please see the attached Safeguarding Policy and Child Protection Policy for further information.

Operation Encompass

Operation Encompass

In conjunction with Cheshire Police, Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School is involved in a new initiative called Operation Encompass.  The purpose of Operation Encompass is to safeguard and support children and young people who have been involved in, heard or witnessed a domestic abuse incident.  Following such an incident, children will often arrive at school distressed, upset, worried and unprepared.  Operation Encompass aims to ensure that appropriate school staff (called Key Adults) are made aware early enough to support children and young people in a way that means they feel safe and included.

At Our Lady’s School our Key Adults are :

Mrs A Emerton: Headteacher & Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)

Mrs P O'Hara : Deputy Headteacher & Deputy DSL

This is a valuable initiative that means we can continue to support and help children and families within our school community when they need it the most.

You can find our more by visiting http://operationencompass.org/ or by contacting one of our key adults.
